Dialog Akademik, Mahasiswa FPIK-UMI Menuntut Diaktifkan Kembali Lembaga BEM/BLM

Makassar, cakrawalaide.com – Pembekuan lembaga kemahasiswaan Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan (FPIK) UMI dalam hal ini BEM/BLM sejak awal 2016 tahun lalu yang ditandai dengan dikeluarkannya SK pembekuan lembaga BEM/BLM FPIK-UMI dengan No :124/H.25/FKIP/UMI/V/2016 tentang pembekuan BEM dan BLM oleh birokrasi kampus menjadi perbincangan antara mahasiswa dan pihak Fakultas saat dialog akademik Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan (FPIK) UMI di aula FPIK-UMI, Rabu (14/03), yang telah menjadi agenda rutin, seperti yang dijelaskan oleh dekan FPIK-UMI, Dr. Ir. Asbar, M.Si, “ini memang merupakan suatu acara rutinitas, yang ingin saya sampaikan bahwa acara seperti ini adalah seharusnya wajib dilakukan setiap awal semester atau akhir semester,” ungkapnya saat memberi arahan umum.
Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Kelautan, Muh Rafly Anggara, menjelaskan bahwa dengan dibekukannya BEM/BLM sangat mempengaruhi himpunan terkait anggota yang akan melanjutkan kepengurusan berikutnya. Menurutnya, untuk menjadi pengurus himpunan harus mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti pengkaderan, menurutnya hal tersebut berdasarkan amanat konstitusi (AD/ART) himpunan, dan yang bisa melaksanakan pengkaderan adalah BEM.
“Kenapa kami sangat menginginkan pengaktifan lembaga karena sangat berimbas ke himpunan terutama dalam konstitusi himpunan itu menyatakan bahwa terkendala dikaderisasi karena semua kaderisasi di himpunan itu harus melalui BEM, sehingga sampai saat ini kami belum Mubes” ungkap Rafly yang akrab disapa Ply.
Lain hal dengan ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa Budidaya Perairan, Suryadin, yang menjelaskan bahwa mereka terkendala di administrasi dalam hal ini persuratan yang seharusnya dikeluarkan oleh lembaga BEM, “jadi kami sempat berbagi cerita dengan teman-teman di Universitas lain karena kami juga memiliki lembaga kemahasiswaan yaitu Himpunan Mahasiswa Perikanan Indonesia, jadi misalkan surat, kami dari himpunan BDP dan PSP bingung siapa yang harus mengeluarkan surat, karena seharusnya BEM yang mengeluarkan surat” tuturnya.
Menanggapi hal tersebut dekan Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Dr. Ir. Asbar, M.Si, menjelaskan bahwa pembekuan BEM/BLM akibat dari mahasiswa itu sendiri yang tidak mau dipercaya oleh pihak fakultas, “jadi kami sudah diskusi kemarin bahwa alasan BEM/BLM dibekukan hanya karena anda yang tidak mau dipercaya oleh fakultas, karena itu sudah berulang-ulang anda lakukan sehingga pertama dulu kita teguran keras, kedua kami skorsing pengurus lembaganya dan tidak diindahkan lagi sehingga kami skorsing pengurus lembaga dan bekukan lembaganya,” jelasnya.
Ia juga menambahkan bahwa ketika lembaga BEM/BLM ingin diaktifkan kembali mahasiswa harus memberikan suatu alasan yang dapat meyakinkan pihak Fakultas bahwa tidak akan melakukan hal yang sama.
“Karena ini adalah dialog dan semua mahasiswa meminta untuk mengaktifkan kembali lembaga, sederhana bagaimana anda tunjukkan bahwa kami bisa meyakini bahwa apa alasan diminta pencabutan pembekuan BEM/BLM apa dasar kami ketika hal serupa terjadi lagi, maksud saya ada secara tertulis dan semua ikut bertanda tangan sehingga pada saat anda atau pengurus BEM melakukan kesalahan lagi maka secara otomatis akan dibekukan kembali” tutupnya.
