Aliansi Masyarakat peduli Mattoanging menyuarakan protes terkait terbengkalainya stadion Mattoanging dengan serentak membakar lilin di depan Monumen Mandala, Jln. Jendral Sudirman. Kamis (25/03/2021).

Aksi pembakaran lilin serentak itu dilakukan sebagai bentuk protes terhadap Pemerintah kota Makassar yang terus menghalangi proses renovasi stadion Mattoanging.

Alis salah satu peserta aksi mengungkapkan dalam orasinya anggaran untuk renovasi stadion Mattoanging sebesar 1,1 Triliun sedangkan proses pengerjaannya dimulai Oktober lalu.

“Teman-teman kita semua harus terus mengawal proses renovasi stadion kebanggan kota Makassar dan jangan sampai di pindah lokasi kan, sampai saat ini pemerintah kota Makassar melalui Danny Pomanto menghambat prosesnya” ungkapnya dalam orasi.

Abhe salah satu peserta aksi juga menyatakan stadion Mattoanging adalah sejarah perjalanan PSM Makassar berkiprah, mulai dari sebagai pusat penyelenggaraan PON yang ke-4 pada tahun 1957 sampai sebagai saksi bisu saat PSM menjuarai piala Indonesia 2019 lalu sewaktu menjamu Persija Jakarta.

“Jadi tuntutan teman-teman supporter disini yaitu melanjutkan proses renovasi Stadion Mattoanging seperti semula,supporter tidak butuh ruang terbuka hijau kami hanya butuh HomeBase untuk klub kebanggaan kami” tegas Abhe.

Abhe menambahkan dirinya masih menunggu pergerakan dari Pemkot Makassar berhubung akan dilaksanakannya duduk bersama dengan pentolan pentolan supporter PSM Makassar.

“Jika pemerintah kota Makassar tidak mengindahkan janjinya sampai awal bulan 4 yang seharusnya adalah agenda peletakan batu pertama renovasi stadion Mattoanging,semua peserta aksi disini akan berkomitmen tetap mengawal serta mengadakan protes dengan jumlah massa yang lebih besar lagi” tambahnya.
